FEMALE DANCERS

Bodysuit

Female dancers require a black bodysuit (pink or black for tiny toes dancers) and any footwear required.

A dancer’s uniform should fit close to the body for participant safety and form. Sizing sometimes varies between companies but the fit should be similar to a bathing suit.

A bodysuit is required for all of our dance classes with optional accessories for each style and shoes as outlined.

For acronastics, any gym-suit or leotard (black, pink, colourful) is perfect.

Shoes

Ballet - a pink leather or canvas ballet slipper

Tap - a pair of black tie-up or buckle-up tap shoes

Jazz (beige jazz shoes), Musical Theatre (beige jazz shoes), Hip Hop (black indoor running shoes) & Lyrical (pirouette turning shoes or foot undeez) - shoes are optional

Acro - bare feet please

MALE DANCERS

Male dancers should wear black active wear pants and a white t-shirt (no logo preferred) and any footwear or accessories as outlined.

We have some great spirit-wear options for boys t-shirts if you would like to come to check them out.

We can also special order personalized t-shirts with logos and designs.

Dance at MJPAS is for everyBODY. If your dancer needs more flexibility in uniform options, special sizing or skin tones, please come to make arrangements to discuss their preferences with a studio staff member. We want every dancer to be able to access the uniform pieces they need so that they can attend their classes in something that keeps them safe and makes them feel comfortable and confident.
